ABOUT ADOLF MALDONADO

Adolf Maldonado is a London-based Spanish fashion designer whose work

merges couture craftsmanship with a contemporary exploration of texture,

form, and identity. His collections investigates the dialogue between

masculine and feminine codes, producing bold statement pieces defined

by meticulous construction and richly tactile surfaces inspired by nature

and its intricate structures. Specialising in leather and tailoring, his practice

emphasizes material innovation and artisanal technique.

Born in 1994 and raised in Spain within a family immersed in garment

making, Maldonado developed an early understanding of construction,

fabric, and detail that continues to shape his design philosophy today. His

mother, a dressmaker specialising in bridal gowns, introduced him to the

world of fashion from a young age. Surrounded by patterns, fabrics, and

fittings, he spent countless hours observing her craft. As a child, he would

recreate the dresses he saw in his mother's studio or in the pages of

Vogue, scaling them down and making miniature versions for his sister's

Barbies.

Driven by this early passion, he moved to London at the age of eighteen to

pursue a career in fashion and develop his creative voice within one of the

world's leading fashion capitals. During this time, he worked as an

assistant to designers while also building experience as a stylist and

personal shopper for private clients, continuously refining his own creative

vision and point of view.
